Route
Varies and depends on the cargo offered. Fixed routes or travel areas cannot be booked! Passengers book a travel period. The port of embarkation is usually known about two to three days before the start of the voyage, and the point of disembarkation usually is determined during the voyage. The ship operates on all major rivers and canals in Europe. Possible areas of operation are: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany. The ship often operates on the Rhine and Neckar, but also on the Moselle, Scheldt, the canals in between or the Ijsselmeer

About the vessel
Inland vessel for general and bulk cargo, year of construction 2009, German flag and ship’s command, 3,000 tons dead-weight, length 105 m, breadth 11 m, 1,700 HP, latest technology and telecommunication, good seating and viewing possibilities on the bridge
Cabins
1 double cabin in the aft, shower accessible from the chamber, toilet accessible from the corridor (only for passengers), double bed approx. 150 x 200 cm, wardrobe, table, 2 chairs, kitchenette with microwave, 2 hotplates, coffee machine (filter and capsules), fridge, electric kettle and hair dryer
Comments
Modern, very well-maintained vessel, specially built for the Neckar, it fits exactly into the Neckar locks. Mostly coal, gypsum, road salt, rarely animal feed are transported. The modern spacious bridge offers a lot of space to get next to the friendly captain a very close contact to today’s inland waterway transportation. One quickly feels part of the crew. Age limit 70 years.
On this voyage you will be self-catering. There is not a daily shopping opportunity, but regularly. However, you should buy the most important supplies in sufficient quantity beforehand.
The usual drinks can be bought on board. The captain is happy to make coffee for the passengers.
Please do not smoke in the cabins, the apartment and on the bridge. The captain would like to point out that for safety reasons, only small amounts of alcohol are allowed.
Shore leave
Shore leave is possible in the ports of unloading and loading depending on the cargo requirements. Berthing times usually about 1 day, often enough time to explore the surroundings e.g. by bike
