Some shipping companies have not resumed taking passengers on board their cargo ships following the coronavirus restrictions. This mainly affects long-haul routes. Unfortunately, it is not foreseeable that the situation will change in the near future.
We regret that there is now very little choice for those who want to travel to other continents without an aeroplane. Many destinations are no longer offered at all.
The ships are used to transport freight and are not intended for tourism. Many shipping companies did not allow passengers on board even before Corona. Some of those that did carry passengers have now reorganised themselves and given up taking passengers on board.
