Hello Ms Weber,
I just wanted to get in touch briefly.
We’re back and it was a fantastic trip.
Contrary to the original plan – after I’d first been in touch with the ship’s owner – we didn’t actually board in Antwerp until Tuesday (rather than on Saturday). From there, we travelled to Rotterdam, Moerdijk, Duisburg, Mannheim and back.
During our trip, it really became very clear just how many unforeseen circumstances can alter any initial plans and why it is, in fact, impossible to foresee every detail.
The crew on board were very friendly and, during the time we were on board, we almost felt like part of the family (rather than crew members, as we didn’t have to work)
Thank you once again for arranging this and for your friendly, helpful approach to everything we’d discussed beforehand.
