Hello dear Frachtschiffreisen Pfeiffer team,<\/p>\n
Here is a brief report on our trip from 20 to 30 June.<\/p>\n
We boarded on 20 June at the Altenwerder Container Terminal at 2.00 pm. We set sail that night. The next day, we had a wonderful passage through the North Ocean Canal in glorious sunshine, though we did have a near-collision with another container ship.<\/p>\n
The pilot said he would have to make a note of it.<\/p>\n
In Kiel Holtenau, the harbour was packed with all sorts of vessels, mainly sailing boats, including many historic windjammers. It was all part of the start of Kiel Week. For me and my three companions (for whom it was their maiden voyage), it was a fantastic experience.
\nIn Muuga (Tallinn), we made only a brief stop; going ashore wasn\u2019t possible.<\/p>\n
We anchored off Helsinki overnight, then entered Vuossari (Helsinki) in the morning. We had a three-day layover, plenty of time to explore the city in glorious weather once again.<\/p>\n
Sailing out through the archipelago was a special experience, with some very narrow passages. On the return journey, we had a barbecue with the crew.<\/p>\n
The passage through the NOK was again during the day in glorious weather. Then, on 30 June, we disembarked in Bremerhaven.<\/p>\n
It was a fantastic experience for everyone; thanks to the brilliant weather, nobody had to contend with seasickness either.<\/p>\n
A special thank you to the crew, with a special mention for Cookie, who surprised us every day with new, very tasty creations.<\/p>\n
