Remember to pack a spare pair of glasses, a pair of sunglasses and maybe a strap.
We recommend bringen your own binoculars.
Mostly not provided in the cabin.
For editing photos and video on board tablet-PCs are very helpful. Remember chargers.
We recommend taking drinks like water or soft drinks for the first day, because drinks can only be bought on board after the ship has left the port. Special drinks, like special teas, are usually not on board, but you may bring them with you, of course. The same applies to sweets and snacks.
Please note that no alcoholic beverages can be bought on the ships with alcohol prohibition. Beer or wine are allowed for passengers on the chamber, but these drinks are not provided.
We recommend practical and weather-proof clothes, and “onion look”. Inside it can be warm, outside windy and cool.
Small change in the currency of the countries
Helpful for bus or taxi fares on shore leave.
Bags, with or without rolls, are more useful than suitcases. They are easier to store in the cabin.
Reading material / DVDs
Bring enough books which you always wanted to read. For longer voyages an e-book can be useful. DVD can be watched in the mess or maybe the cabin.
Please remember to bring far more of the medication, which you need to take regularly, than needed for the planned for duration of the voyage.
It is windy on deck. We recommend a hat, cap, headband and/or scarf.
Information for shore leave
Travel guides or similar for the cities in which the ship stops are good for preparation of the short short leaves.
Passport and travel documents
Remember to bring passports, maybe vaccination cards, ticket, embarkation information and other travel documents.
On the outside of the vessel shoes with non-slip soles are recommended. Also remember slippers or sandals – shoes are to be taken of before entering the cabin.
A safety vest is mandatory in many ports.
